Greg and Jen Tonkinson each experienced pain and loss independent of one another. Greg lost his spouse, Leigh Ann, in 2010, when she was hit from behind at a stoplight waiting to come home to Greg and her three small children. She was killed instantly. Jennifer was given the news in 2011 that her then husband was leaving her and her two young boys. She was left in a state of confusion and shame all the while having to wake up each day and be the best single-mom she could be.

The Unwanted Fraternity was coming together and the two didn’t even know it.

Greg and Jen found each other online and the two married in 2013, creating a wonderfully messy step-family of seven. Since then, Greg finished his doctorate, Jen picked up her career as an English teacher, and Unwanted Fraternity was written. Greg and Jen serve with Valley Christian Schools (Chandler, AZ).

Today, Greg and Jen host a weekly radio show and podcast, Unwanted Fraternity, where Fraternity members - people who have suffered loss, can tune in and discover this simple yet life-changing thought, true healing can only be found in Jesus Christ.
